Bītmeikers Valdas Kazakevičius aka Dee un reperis Tautmilas Čeida aka Kamy ir izvēlējušies netradicionālu ceļu Lietuvas hip-hop pasaulē. Viņu duets “Dee & Kamy” ātri kļuva par slavenāko hip-hop projektu Lietuvā, kad 2010. gadā viņi debitēja ar albumu “Original Taste”, kurā visas kompozīcijas ir angļu valodā. “Pravda” apbalvošanas ceremonijā viņi ieguva Gada labāko debiju, bet citā T.E.T.E. alternatīvās mūzikas apskatā – Labākā hip-hop grupa. Vēlāk seko daudzi koncerti Lietuvas un ārzemju klubos, kā arī panākumi Tallinas mūzikas nedēļā(Tallinn Music Week”), kas deva daudz iespēju koncertēt kopā ar tādiem ārzemju mūziķiem kā Ja Rule, Xzibit, B-Real (no Cypress Hill), Jungle Brothers un citiem. 2015. gadā grupa ieraksta otro, jau daudz ambiciozāku albumu “Filling The Gap”, kurā piedalās daudzi izcili viesmūziķi – Erica Jennings (no Skamp), Daiva Starinskaite (no Keymono), džeza bassists Domas Aleksa, ASV hip-hop zvaigzne J-Ro no “Tha Alkoholiks” un citi. Abi dueta albumi ir oda divdesmitā gadsimta pēdējās dekādes agrīnajam Amerikas hip-hopam. Dee & Kamy atgriežas Latvijā pēc vairāku gadu pauzes 30. septembrī Kaņepes Kultūras centrā.

Producer Valdas Kazakevičius – Dee and rapper Tautmilas Čeida – Kamy has chosen unusual way in the Lithuanian Hip-Hop world. Theirs duet “Dee & Kamy” – the most famous representatives of the Lithuanian Hip-Hop culture, doing their own work in english. 2010 album “Original Taste” debut performers quickly gained interest in “Pravda” awards. In ceremony it was announced as a newcomer of the year. Also T.E.T.E. alternative music ceremony – Best Hip-Hop group. Series of appearances in Lithuanian, foreign clubs and festivals (the band became the first Lithuanian Hip-Hop group having played at the biggest Baltic talent event “Tallinn Music Week “) has consolidated the reputation of the duo and provided opportunities to perform with foreign stars – such as Ja Rule, Xzibit, B-Real (from Cypress Hill), Jungle Brothers and many more. In 2015 the band released its second, even more ambitious album “Filling The Gap”, which was recorded by well-known Lithuanian artists Erica Jennings (from Skamp), Daiva Starinskaitė (from Keymono), jazz bassist Domas Aleksa, US Hip-Hop star “Tha Alkoholiks” member J-Ro and others. Like the previous duo’s work, the second album was inspired by the last decade of the last century early American Hip-Hop. Group creations will continue to speak English, although in Lithuania it is rather unusual. We are focusing not only on the Lithuanian audience, we are trying put our music in the wider waters.
