SERENDIPITY (the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.).

On the 9th of August in Kaņepes Culture Centre, unique jazz and improvised music concert will take place – Serendipity, where young musicians of Latvia and Denmark will meet. They will perform the music of Edgars and Albert as well as improvisations, that have arisen from the given moment and space.

Often meeting in different ensembles, Edgars and Albert quickly realised that through all the changes the only constant is their musical brotherhood. Serendipity is a project, where new music is being played, inspired by many sources – the improvisatory spirit of jazz, Cuban folk music roots, the breath and drama of western classical music as well as the space of Nordic music.

Last year Albert was declared “Jazz Musician of the Year” in Tversted, who made him an officially acclaimed jazz musician in Northern Denmark, while Edgars released a unique album book in 2019 – AISMA Book I, which combines three art forms: music, literature and visual art (edgarscirulis.bandcamp.com).

Edgars Cīrulis – piano;
Albert Reinholdt Ostergaard – bass;
Alise Golovacka – flute ;
Ēriks Miezis – vibraphone;
Rūdolfs Dankfelds – drums.
+ special guest!
